Sacred Discoveries is a storytelling initiative of Augustana University. Sacred Discoveries equips storytellers and produces narratives that illuminate God’s faithfulness while exploring the questions, curiosities, and convictions that shape young adult faith.
These stories will be widely shared through podcasts, short films, written publications, live storytelling events, service experiences, and artistic expressions, to inspire congregations and communities across the ELCA and beyond to know and love God.
The Augustana University God Pod is a mobile media lab built to capture sacred stories of God’s work far and wide.
Congregations and ministry partners can request a God Pod visit to engage their community and provoke discussions of faith and spirituality. Thanks to a generous grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., there is no cost for communities to host the God Pod.
Sacred Discoveries will be awarding microgrants (up to $12,000 each) to Augustana University faculty, administrators, and coaches as well as congregations and ministry partners for projects to engage young adults in storytelling
Individuals and communities who share Sacred Discoveries’ desire to illuminate God’s faithfulness and explore the questions, curiosities, and convictions that shape young adult faith are invited to apply.
The Augustana University God Pod wants to come to your community to capture and share stories of faith in your congregation, town, synod, or campus! Fill out the form below to request a visit. The God Pod will be available for scheduling beginning in August 2026.
Bringing the God Pod to your community gives Sacred Discoveries permission to share any stories that are collected.
